In Catalonia there are more than 400 segregated schools and institutes, around 17%. School segregation seriously harms the educational and life opportunities of all students in the country, causes strong inequalities for the children and young people who attend these centers and is a serious threat to social cohesion.
Equitat.org analyzes the levels of school segregation in Catalonia, at local and national levels, denounces pending challenges that the administration has the responsibility to face and disseminates measures to reduce it. It also promotes awareness-raising campaigns and tools.
