The Code Club program aims to promote the digital empowerment of children as a lever for educational equity.
Code Club is an open and free after-school space, a programming CLUB aimed at children between 9 and 12 years old where they can learn good digital uses, creative computational thinking and tools to transform the world around us. We work based on the ideas and concerns of children so that they can go as far as they want. At Code Club, programming is also a digital equity strategy to build a fairer society.
Learning to program is a complete socio-educational activity that allows you to work on skills such as problem solving, learning from mistakes, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, self-confidence… All of them are key transversal skills that promote educational success and are becoming essential in an increasingly digital world.
Therefore, we defend that learning programming languages must be a right and be within the reach of all children, especially those in vulnerable situations, to prevent digital inequalities from further widening educational and social inequalities.
Do you want to promote a Code Club?
After a successful pilot experience, the program opened a call to bring Code Club to Catalonia. Thanks to the good response from city councils, schools and organizations, more than 100 schools will have a Code Club in the 2024-25 academic year.

An international movement
Code Club is a global network of free programming clubs promoted by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Its methodology is tested in thousands of clubs around the world and is constantly evolving thanks to the contribution of its members. All the Code Clubs in Catalonia are part of this great network!
We want our country to be filled with educational spaces where all children can learn to program, imagine and create a better world. Join us!
