Convivència in Catalan means “living together”. Not simply cohabiting, but living together constructively, in harmony anf friendship. Convivència in Catalonia, Languages living together is a book published by the Jaume Bofill foundation in order to celebrate the International Year of Languages, well received by a big number of institutions and entities in this country. By writing this book, we intend to contribute to demolish clichés and misunderstandings flowing around the linguistic issue of our country and get foreign people from several fields (politicians, journalists, scholars, cultural groups…) closer to what we understand as the current linguistic situation.
